You want one. You can't drop €6k.
Get the same bike, on your doorstep, this month. No loan. No regret.
A brand-new €6.299 Urban Arrow on your doorstep — for €0 net. Your neighbors rent it through the Cargoroo app, and you keep 60% of every euro it earns. Many warriors finish the month in profit.
A flat €200 - 300/month subscription (depending on season) covers the bike, insurance, maintenance & battery swaps. You make the money back every time the bike is rented by your neighbours and the rest of the 20000+ cargoroo network, meaning the bike can cost you much less or you can make money depending on how popular the bike is !

Den Haag — territory map
Dense central districts go first — Centrum, Schilderswijk and Scheveningen are already sold out. Quieter residential districts on the edge of the city still have open spots, and often less competition means more rides per bike.
We lock one warrior per street. First on the list, first on the bike.
How it works

Tell us your street, your storage spot, and a bit about you. We approve warriors block by block.

Cargoroo drops off a brand-new electric cargo bike at your door. Insured, serviced, ready.

Reserve any time you need it — school runs, groceries, weekend trips. You always have priority.

When you're not riding, your block can rent it through the app. Scan, ride, return.

You keep a share of every ride — from your neighbors and from 20.000+ Cargoroo riders already in the network. A popular bike pays its own subscription, and then some.
The first thing every new Warrior does: knock on every door on the block and hand neighbors a card with €15 of free ride credit. No ask. No pitch. Just a gift — and the reason you're doing it.
You're not selling. You're telling the story: "I believe in cargo bikes. I want my street to feel what it's like. Here's a free ride on me."That's how a Warrior becomes the most popular person on the block — and how the bike books out in week one.
Cargoroo gives you the credit codes and printed door cards. You bring the smile.
Hi, I'm your neighbor at no. 17. I just brought a Cargoroo cargo bike to our street — and I want you to ride it on me. Scan the code, unlock, go. It's a gift.
When the bike arrives, a box arrives with it. Custom flyers with your name and your message, the Warrior Playbook, and €15 ride credits to hand out. Day one, you're off the ground.
Hi neighbor — I just brought a cargo bike to our street. Here's €15 on me. Go for a ride.
A short, no-nonsense manual. The moves that consistently work — pulled from the warriors with the busiest bikes.
The math
A new Urban Arrow Family Next retails at €6.299. Most people who want one will never buy one. As a Warrior you pay a flat €300/month — and Cargoroo gives you 60% of every euro your bike earns above that.
Rental income on your bike
Illustrative. Cargoroo keeps the first €300/month to cover the bike, insurance, maintenance & battery swaps. You keep 60% of everything beyond.
Your role as a Warrior
Warriors are the local representatives of Cargoroo on their block — the people who turn a bike on the pavement into a shared resource a whole neighborhood actually uses.
Be the friendly face who shows neighbors how to download the Cargoroo app, book a bike, unlock it and ride.
You vet who rides your bike. Approve neighbors, set house rules, keep the schedule running smoothly.
Daily eyes-on: parked safely, charged, clean. You're the one your block trusts with it.
We handle maintenance, battery swaps and repairs. You flag issues in the app — we come to your door.
A private WhatsApp group of 180+ active Cargoroo warriors. Real numbers, real tips, real flyer templates — the warriors running 2 and 3 bikes are in there sharing what works.
"My third bike paid for itself in 6 weeks. The group helped me pick the right street for #2 and #3."
"I post my flyer template every month — half the warriors here use it now. We pull €500+ a month each."
"Best tip from the group: a WhatsApp broadcast list for your street. Bookings doubled overnight."
The network effect
Your bike joins the Cargoroo network — 20.000+ registered riders across the Netherlands who already rent our bikes every week. The moment your bike lands on your street, it's discoverable to all of them in the app.
That means more bookings, faster payback, and zero marketing work on your end. Your neighbors get priority — everyone else fills the gaps.
Who it's for

A popular bike in a busy block can earn more than it costs. Keep the surplus.

Meet your chieftain
I started Cargoroo Warrior because I was tired of seeing perfectly good streets without a single shared bike on them. €9.000 is too much to ask one family. But split across a neighborhood? It's nothing — and it changes everything.
I'm looking for warriors. People who'll plant a flag on their street, host the bike, and pull their neighbors into something better. If that sounds like you — let's ride.
Cranked-up handlebars. Kids in the front. Groceries in the back. Watch the 15-second hype reel and turn the volume up.
You're not just one user among many. Warriors getpriority reservations— block out the school run, the Saturday market, that camping weekend. Whatever's left, your neighbors can book.
FAQ
Because cargo bikes are a street-level product, not a fleet product. A scooter works fine parked anonymously on a corner — a €9.000 cargo bike does not. It needs a face, a story, and someone the neighbors trust. Cargoroo tried the pure-fleet model and the bikes that performed best were always the ones where one local person quietly looked after them, told neighbors about them, and made the street feel ownership. So instead of pretending we can replicate that from an office, we hand the keys (and the upside) to that person. You.
It's profitable because of you, not despite you. A Warrior unlocks roughly 3–4× the rides of an unattended bike on the same street, because neighbors actually hear about it, try it, and come back. Cargoroo's 40% of a busy bike is worth far more than 100% of a quiet one. They'd rather split a big pie than own a small one.
€300/month covers the bike, insurance, maintenance, parts, battery swaps and the app — everything. The average Warrior earns around €640/month in ride share, so net you're roughly €0 cost with ~€340 in your pocket. Quiet month: you might be slightly out of pocket. Busy month: it's a real side income.
On your own street, in front of your house. We work with the city to lock in that exact spot as an official cargo-bike parking space. We already have the permit in Den Haag, and as we expand to new cities we just notify the municipality of each new location for approval — usually a formality. You don't deal with paperwork; we do.
Good problem. Two answers: (1) You always have priority — block out your school run, weekend, evenings, whatever you want, forever. Neighbors only book what's left. (2) If demand is genuinely high, we bring in a second bike on the same street. Many warriors actually start with two bikes from day one so they can keep one mostly for themselves and leave the other open to the street. If another neighbor wants to become a warrior too, great — more bikes, more income, more momentum.
It happens. The €300 is fixed; ride income isn't. That's why we only accept warriors on streets where the math works, and cap to one warrior per street so you're never competing with the bike around the corner.
Covered by insurance. The bike is GPS-tracked, locked to a fixed point, and if it's ever stolen or vandalised it's on us — not your wallet. You're never liable for a €9.000 hole.
Cargoroo handles everything — service, parts, insurance, battery swaps. Normal wear is on us. Damage caused by a renter is covered by our insurance, not your wallet.
Yes — and we recommend it. Child seat adapters, rain canopies, extra bench cushions, you name it. Adds €20/month (so €320 total), but families are the highest-frequency riders by far. Most warriors who add the child-seat pack see ride volume jump 30-50% because suddenly every parent on the street is a potential customer. Easily pays for itself.
No — and that's deliberate. Your neighbors wouldn't be comfortable with a private person seeing their movements, and frankly it's not your business who borrowed bread at 4pm. What you DO get: full ride data (how many rides, when, how long, revenue per ride) live in the app. That's everything you need to know your bike is working for you.
Every quarter, straight to your bank. We have all the ride and revenue data and rebate your share automatically — no invoicing, no chasing. You see every booking live in the app as it happens.
Yes. Your Cargoroo earnings are added to your existing tax return once a year — no accountant, no ZZP registration, no extra admin. Cargoroo sends you a yearly overview with the exact figures. You fill in one extra field in your annual aangifte. That's it.
How much tax? Roughly 37–49% depending on your total income. So if you earn €340/month from your bike, expect to keep around €200 after tax. Still well in profit.
If you earn less than €1.800/year from the bike (€150/month), it may be fully tax-free under Dutch rules for casual income. We'll flag this in your yearly overview.
Right now: 3 months notice and you're out — no €9.000 sunk cost, no lock-in. This is a launch-phase offer. As the program matures, we'll move to a standard 2-3 year contract (the same model as our partner operators), so locking in now means locking in the easy terms. Even on a longer contract later, if you genuinely need out we'll help: either we move the bike to the next warrior on the waiting list for your street, or you can hand it over to a neighbor who wants to take the role on. The bike doesn't move — the warrior does.
We pick warriors carefully — one per street. Tell us about your location and why you'd be great for the role. We come back within 48 hours.
We assess every location before we approve it. We already have a city permit in Den Haag — for new cities we work with the municipality on your spot.
By applying you agree to our Privacy Policy. We will contact you within 14 days to let you know if your street is approved.
